ConTEXt, an interdisciplinary project inspired by new media and technology, combines tradition and innovation in textiles.  An application designed using the Kinect sensor to scan outer space serves as a tool rendering imagery, further used in creating textile designs.  Those had been then digitally manipulated to serve as a foundation for textiles woven using jacquard looms.
