Real Virtuality
Real Virtuality 2021 is a collaborative and experimental project that tries to test possibilities and limits of designing textiles in 3D. The main goal is to discover new ways of textile prototyping and designing, that allow experimentation without using any material resources or textile machinery and equipment. Collaboration between textile and 3D designer further leads to novel ideas derived from an exchange of expertise and multidisciplinary approach. The collection of three fabrics presented below is inspired by moiré and iridescent effect. 3D simulations portrait material properties such as transparency, light reflectiveness and weight. Textiles are designed by Zuzana Zmatekova. 3D fabrics are designed by Miroslav Fek. Supported using public funding by Slovak Arts Council.
